Mia and the Migoo
Monday, December 30, 2013
In this inventive eco-adventure, a plucky, wild-haired young heroine squares off against profit-hungry developers, with the future of life on earth in the balance. Breathtakingly designed, MIA AND THE MIGOO is another animation milestone from the company that released The Secret of Kells and Azur and Asmar. Figures are outlined in pencil and then bathed in watercolors, for a stunning, handcrafted look with backgrounds that burst at the seams with painterly detail, like a Miyazaki film painted by Van Gogh.
This new English language version features the voices of John DiMaggio, Whoopi Goldberg, Matthew Modine, Wallace Shawn, and James Woods, and introduces Amanda Misquez as Mia and Vincent Agnello as Aldrin.
