Letters from the Big Man
Friday, November 11 - Friday, November 25, 2011
Lyrical and subtle aren’t the first adjectives you’d expect to use to describe a Sasquatch tale, but filmmaker Christopher Munch (The Hours and the Times, The Sleepy Time Gal) has always defied expectations. His latest, a critical favorite at Sundance, stars Lily Rabe as a scientist posted to a remote forest in Oregon who slowly discovers she’s not alone. Out of the most unlikely premise, Munch constructs a gorgeous, soulful and deeply earnest meditation on our place in the world.
