Eames: The Architect and the Painter
Friday, November 18, 2011 - Tuesday, January 3, 2012
This is the first film dedicated to legendary husband-and-wife design team Charles and Ray Eames since their death. Best known for their mid-century furniture, the Eames Office created a mind-bending variety of other products: photography, interiors, multi-media exhibits, graphics, games, films and more. But their personal lives and influence on American culture–from the development of modernism to the rise of the computer age–has been less understood. Narrated by James Franco.
