Short Attention Span Cinema: Found Footage Festival
Friday, March 22 - Thursday, April 18, 2024
As part of our ongoing Short Attention Span Cinema program, IFC Center is proud to share a collection of short films from the Found Footage Festival. Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher have been collecting odd and hilarious VHS tapes from thrift stores across the country since 1991. The following shorts will play before select screenings of our regular feature films.
3/22 – 3/28 — Found Footage Festival Presents Tape Trading Classics, Vol 1: Rainbows and Accidents
In this compilation, Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher serve up clips from two of their favorites: THE MAGICAL RAINBOW SPONGE (1997) and FEDERATED MUTUAL INSURANCE (2001).
4/5 – 4/11 — Found Footage Festival Presents Tape Trading Classics, Vol 3: Public Access and Pudgie Wudgie
In this compilation, they show off highlights from public access television around the country, and pay tribute to a remarkable cat named Pudgie Wudgie.
