The French Minister
Friday, March 21 - Thursday, May 8, 2014
This breezily irreverent comedy from veteran auteur Tavernier (’Round Midnight, The Princess of Montpensier) follows Arthur, a fresh-faced new speechwriter (the head of “language”) for the dashing, charming and borderline incompetent Minister of Foreign Affairs. As Arthur trails his whirlwind boss through the ornate corridors of power, he has to juggle the eccentricities of his superiors and the jockeying of long- suffering underlings with the threats of looming international crises—all while trying to remain idealistic in the face of real-world bureaucracy.
