Using one of three scripts Gus Van Sant used to create his 1991 landmark MY OWN PRIVATE IDAHO, James Franco’s IDAHO (63 min.) is Super-8 work intended as a “ghost” of the film’s original conception. Screening with the short BRAD RENFRO FOREVER (26 min.), which depicts Franco getting “BRAD” carved into his arm with a switchblade by Los Angeles tattoo artist Mark Mahoney. Total program running time: 89 min.
