A sequel to Johnnie To’s PTU, this tale of beat cops chasing down armored car hijackers through the Hong Kong mountains is directed by longtime Milkyway associate director, Law Wing-cheong. Two teams of cops head into the woods after a gang of crooks, but as bad luck, random coincidences and equipment failures multiply it looks like they’re going to be lucky to make it home. An ode to the clock punchers who keep us safe, not because they’re heroes but because it’s their job.
