Awash in the haunting, otherworldly images of a nightmare, this eerily seductive mind-bender is a dark, dreamlike descent into the depths of the unknown. In a remote seaside village populated only by boys and adult women, a 10-year-old makes a disturbing discovery—a dead boy with a red starfish on his stomach—prompting a host of questions. What are the half-remembered images he recalls? If the woman he lives with is not his mother, who is she? And what awaits the boys when they’re suddenly confined to a hospital?
