Part of “Rendez-Vous with French Cinema 2010.” Director Lucas Belvaux and star Yvan Attal in person.
Belgian actor-director Lucas Belvaux (On the Run, An Amazing Couple, and After the Life) returns with an edge-of-your-seat nailbiter inspired by the 1978 kidnapping of French industrialist Édouard-Jean Empain. Yvan Attal stars as a millionaire playboy businessman who is abducted and held for a king’s ransom. As his wife (Anne Consigny) and attorney (Alex Descas) field the kidnappers’ demands, it becomes clear that the missing man’s enemies far outnumber his allies.
