Part of “Rendez-Vous with French Cinema 2010.” Fri Mar 12 only — Director Cédric Kahn in person.
In this romantic drama with the pulse of a Hitchcock thriller, a married Paris architect (Yvan Attal) returns to his rural hometown to visit his dying mother, whereupon he rekindles a relationship with his former high-school girlfriend (Valeria Bruni Tedeschi). They go their separate ways, but their impassioned text messages—the 21st-century equivalent of love letters—draw them back into each other’s arms. Is it love or blind obsession?
